Historically, engineering design software has been used when creating single use systems. Although useful tools, these types of software do have their disadvantages:

Misinterpretation - End users can often misunderstand or misinterpret drawings, this can lead to the customer not receiving what they expected.

Sales - These systems work well at a backend level such as within an internal engineering department but offer no support with sale of products or when working with customers.

To combat these issues BioPure has developed the BioSelector^®, a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) design tool that utilises realistic imagery backed up by a library of component information.

Menu Structure

Each menu can be customised to suit the user and enables you to create 30 main menu headings; each main menu heading can be further subdivided into 20 submenu categories, each in turn being able to hold 20 components. This gives access to a theoretical 30 x 20 x 20 matrix of components. These can be further segmented into 16 differing Internal Diameter (ID) tube sizes of your choice. This allows 192,000 different components to be held within your BioSelector^®.

Component Manipulation

Each component can be manipulated using the tools within the BioSelector^®. These include Rotate Clockwise or Anticlockwise, Measurement Tool, Image to Front or Back, Single or Multiple Component Labelling, Component Delete from Canvas, Free Text Insert Tool, etc.

Component Information

Each image is backed up by 10 user defined fields such as pressure, tensile strength, and pack size. This is in addition to standard fields such as part numbers, short and long descriptions, material composition, instant URL web look up, etc.

BioBank

Each BioSelector^® is preloaded with a selection of images. However more images are available to purchase from the BioBank and can be uploaded into your BioSelector^® in minutes*.

Most importantly the BioSelector^® offers the user a chance to take control and design their own single use system and on completion be presented with a realistic view of how their system will look.
